We’re thrilled to invite you to our first annual wall clean and Community Day! Can you believe it’s already the first anniversary of our Melville Mural?
Join us on Saturday, 19th August, as we come together for the First-Year Wall Clean and Community BBQ. It’s a great chance to celebrate our progress, connect with neighbours, and cultivate a sense of pride in our neighbourhood!
A year ago, residents and the Melville Community Group joined forces with Groundwork UK and Studio Maraki to create the vibrant mural that now adorns a formerly grim-looking part of the area. Our vibrant wall uplifts and demonstrates the positives of community and, for some, celebrates a year of new friendships made.
The Wall Clean Up & Repairs Starts; 10AM @The Mural Site, Warren Hill
Come and lend a hand. Participate in the process. Your help is so appreciated and helps keep the area looking its best.
But it’s not all about cleaning and repairing! There are rewards!
Community BBQ Follows After…
…Following the mural clean-up and repairs, we’ll gather for the last Community BBQ of the season. Food will be provided to celebrate our collective efforts. Just bring a side, a drink and enjoy yourself.
So come along and join us on Saturday, 19th August, at 10 AM at the top of Warren Hill. (and prey now to the weather gods for blue skies and sunshine). 🙏
