The UK Parliamentary Election takes place on Thursday, 4 July.
To vote, you must be on the electoral register.
This year, for the first time at a general election, if you’re voting at a polling station, you will also need to have a photo ID. If you don’t have this, you can apply for free photo ID, known as a voter authority certificate.
If you were registered to vote in the last election and your details have not changed, you will still be registered to vote. If you are applying for the free photo ID, you will have to be registered to vote first.
