Torbay Community Café & Helpline

Torbay Community Hub & Café, 4-8 Temperance Street, TQ2 5PU is a place where people can receive social face-to-face interaction, get help and advice and a hot, healthy, low-priced meal.

Torbay Community Development Trust (Torbay Community Development Trust (torbaycdt.org.uk), a charity whose ethos is to make Torbay a place where all people feel included, works in partnership with Ellacombe Community Partnership, who run the café and offer various training opportunities in catering and employment skills in the local community.

The Community Hub offers people the opportunity to make friends, join groups and just chat, there is a full and varied menu on offer that is very competitively priced and very healthy! We hold bingo on a Tuesday, Games on a Wednesday, Lunch club on a Friday and various support activities from financial and
benefit advice to energy saving ideas.

The opening hours are Monday to Friday 10.00am and 2.30pm. Come along and have a chat over a coffee, we look forward to welcoming you.

The Community Helpline 01803 446022 was created to help those in need match up with those offering help during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It is now continues on as a one-stop call for help for all of Torbay’s Community services, advice and information; including food parcels, financial help and friendly ear to listen to issues regarding your mental wellbeing.

Lines are open: Monday-Friday 10am-1pm & 3-6pm,
Saturdays: 11:30am-12:30pm
