There are plenty of activities taking place in Torquay! Whether you’re looking for free family fun, creative workshops, fitness, learning, or social meetups, Torquay Town Centre has many community activities taking place in August and September.

Special Events:
- Children’s Week – 19th to 23rd August on Paignton Green – 5 days of free entertainment for kids and families.
- ABBA Silent Disco – Dance under the stars in Abbey Park on Saturday 16th August! Family disco (3–5pm) and adult-only disco (7–9pm).
Learning & Skills:
- Free digital skills training (Tues & Thurs) and CV workshops (Mondays) at Eat That Frog and Turning Heads.
- Family History workshops, drama classes, and career info sessions for adults aged 25–64.
Music, Arts & Theatre:
- Community choirs, belly dancing, gentle exercise classes, and arts & crafts drop-ins.
- Unleashed Theatre hosts film screenings, community drama, and the Silver Screen Club.
Health & Wellbeing:
- Gentle walks, mindfulness events, and support groups for bereavement, domestic abuse survivors, and general wellbeing.
- Weekly social clubs and quizzes at St Luke’s
Repair & Volunteer:
- Repair Shop Evenings, coastal clean-up volunteering, and ongoing opportunities at PATH, the Salvation Army, and more.
Family Fun:
- Torquay Library Saturday Club and a full programme of family-friendly activities through August.
