Week 11: Monday 23rd March

Joanna, a holistic health coach for women, joined us to explore the link between smoking, women’s health and long-term wellbeing.

Drawing on her own experience of quitting smoking 14 years ago, Joanna shared an honest and encouraging message: change is possible, support is available and every small step towards quitting matters.

Her session also highlighted how smoking can affect women’s health, including menstrual cycles, fertility, pregnancy, menopause, heart health, bone health, skin and overall wellbeing.

The Atomic Wellness Company – Claire Horn

Improve your health and boost your energy with supportive, practical wellness.

https://www.theatomicwellnesscompany.co.uk

“My name is Claire Horn, and I am the founder of The Atomic Wellness Company CIC, a community interest company based in Devon. My passion and mission are simple but vital: to help individuals learn how to eat for their future health.

After gaining a diploma in Mindful Nutrition and changing my diet, I can see clearly what is ahead for our future generations. We are facing a crisis of nutrition. This is a generation raised on ultra-processed foods, often not by choice, but because of a lack of accessible nutritional education. When young people and their parents aren’t taught how to nourish themselves, this lack of knowledge is passed down through generations. For example, if a young parent has never been shown how to eat well, how can they be expected to feed their child healthily? The cycle continues, but it doesn’t have to. Through my organisation, I aim to reintroduce practical nutritional education both in schools and within families.”

It is never too late to make a positive change for your health and future.
