This is my Circus – Celebration of Community, Creativity, and the beautifully unexpected!
We are delighted to share with you a wonderful, funded opportunity to get involved in an exciting community project taking place over the coming months in Castle Circus, Torquay.
Thanks to generous funding through Levelling Up for Culture funds via Torbay Council, with support from Torbay Communities, we are now moving forward with a series of creative and environmental initiatives to revitalise this central public space — and we’re inviting local partners, makers, artists, educators, tradespeople, green practitioners, and community groups to be part of the journey.
Please see the below call-outs, which detail a range of ways you, or your organisation, can get involved, from delivering creative workshops, environmental interventions, community murals, and exhibitions to supporting events and educational outreach.
We are passionate about working with local talent, celebrating community stories, and making this project as inclusive and vibrant as possible. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to this kind of work, we’d love to hear from you.
To support anyone who has questions about the process or would like to know more about how to submit a tender or expression of interest, I’ll be hosting two friendly hybrid drop-in sessions on Monday, 14th July at 3pm and 6.30pm, held in person at the Community Trust Building on Temperance Street. These are informal sessions where I’ll walk through the opportunity, clarify any details, and answer questions.
